Pastor Lewis Wright
Title: Senior Pastor
Email: lewisw@centraldisciples.org

"I am the new kid on the block, having joined the staff at Central Christian on January 1, 2010. My wife, Karen, teaches 6th grade and together we have been blessed with nearly 30 years of marriage and three wonderful children – Karis, Luke and Kavan. Although I grew up nearby in Jennings County, I have lived most of my adult life in California. After graduating from Ball State University (Muncie, IN) in 1981 and the International School of Theology (San Bernardino, CA) in 1985, I served or started churches in California. We returned to Indiana in 2005 to be closer to our parents. My interests and passions include family, soccer, hiking, biking, kayaking, good conversation, and helping others discover new possibilities through Jesus Christ. I also enjoy getting to know new people, so please introduce yourself to me sometime."

"Central Christian Church has been my church home for 46 years. I moved here when I was twelve years old following the death of my father. My love for CCC grew very strong as I met and learned to love the people here. This was “home” to my extended family – my grandparents and my aunt. My grandfather was the building chairperson when the church was built in 1916. My grandparents gave the church organ to the church at that time and my aunt and grandmother played the organ for 53 years. I began my music ministry for Christ here in 1976 leading children’s choirs. I began part-time work in the office in 1978 and then was hired full-time in 1980. My love for my Lord and my love for this church is hopefully evident by my fruits. I love God with all my heart."

"Central Christian Church is a precious, welcoming, caring and prayerful body of Christ, that is very involved in sharing her many and varied gifts and talents as our Lord’s hands and feet. I feel greatly blessed to be here to serve this family of Christ in His name and to His glory."

Title: Youth Director
Service: 6 months part-time and 3 years full-time
Email: robine@centraldisciples.org

"I have been here at Central Christian Church all my life. I believe I am the person God has shaped me to be because of the many people here at Central Christian Church who have loved me and taught me about God. God called me into Youth Ministry 4 years ago and I am so blessed to be able to share my passion for Christ with the youth. It’s truly amazing to witness youth surrender their lives to Christ and watch as God brings them to a loving relationship with Him. I have also been granted a Lay License with the Disciples of Christ and have been a Lay Minister for two years. I am truly blessed to be a part of this Body of Christ and to help share the Gospel with the people of Central Christian Church."

Janice Brock
Financial Secretary
janiceb@centraldisciples.org

I came to Central Christian Church in the early 80's and have been involved in church activities in various ways over the years. Currently I'm involved in activities such as WOW, Loyal Devoir, and teaching the wonderful Friendly Crusaders class on Sunday mornings. Last September I accepted the position as Financial Secretary for the church and am growing in that position. My relationship with God has been deepened while here; I am consistently reminded and am in awe of the many occasions I see God working in my life and in the lives of others within my Central Christian Church family.
Lisa Weineke
Coordinator of
Children's Ministries

"I became involved with Children’s Ministry 12 years ago when my children were small and was asked to help with Vacation Bible School and the Nursery.  I have been the Children’s Ministry Coordinator for 10 years now and have enjoyed watching our Children’s Ministry Program grow and reach out to so many families.  We have an amazing group of volunteers who help share God’s love with the children and their families.  We have many activities for children to be a part of; Children’s Church, Sunday School, our WOW midweek program, VBS, Daycare Ministry, and much more.  I feel blessed to have the opportunity to touch the lives of these young children and help their families come to know Christ."

Title: Visitation Caregiver
Service: 2 years

"When our family relocated to Seymour we had to find a new church. It was clear to us after visiting Central Christian that this would be our new church home. The people are so friendly and have become like family to us, as we have no family close by. I began as the Visitation Caregiver in 2006 to visit with those in nursing homes, home bound, in hospitals or just needing someone to talk to. I feel very blessed to e able to carry the love of the church into the community to continue to share Christ’s love."
Randy Ent
Custodian

“We’ve been the custodians at Central Christian Church for almost eight years.  We treasure the friends we’ve made and the fellowship we share with people on a daily basis.  We’re very blessed to be able to work for the church and share God’s love with everyone we come in contact with.”

Title: Pianist/Musician
Service: 28 years (20 as pianist)

"Central Christian Church became my church home when I was in fifth grade. Many loving, dedicated Sunday School teachers gave me a good Bible foundation and instilled in me a desire to serve others. My church family has nurtured me in my closer walk with the Lord for over 40 years, now. I have enjoyed being the church pianist for 20+ years and have directed choirs and youth musicals, played in praise bands and bell choirs, played music for Vacation Bible School and weddings, and just do whatever I can to praise God through music!"
Virginia Ernest
Title: Organist
Service: 37 years

"It’s God’s house and a true (place) way of worship. It’s a privilege to be able to share the talents God has given me with other Christians. The church is a place to take your daily problems with others. The church is a place to have fellowship with other Christian people. It means a lot to be able to worship through music, in the choir, and working with other musicians."
