Job Description:
We are an evangelical Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Seymour, Indiana.  Our weekly attendance averages around 350 to 400 in two Sunday morning services:  Blended (9:00 a.m.) and Contemporary (10:45 a.m.).  We are looking for a Director of Worship who can design meaningful worship experiences, develop various music & creative arts teams, and lead the congregation in worship.  This position also includes secondary responsibilities in one other ministry area.

Qualifications:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree (or demonstrated expertise) in ministry field.
• Minimum 3 years experience as pastor/director of worship
• Demonstrates a high level of proficiency as a vocalist, choral director and instrumentalist (guitar or keyboard).
• Passionate about his/her own personal worship of Christ and is able to lead others into worship as well.
• Able to motivate and train others in the areas of worship and creative arts ministry.
• Capable of designing and leading meaningful worship experiences for blended and contemporary services.
• Understands music, computer, video and sound technology and is able to communicate with A/V technicians.
• Able to minister and lead in one of the following areas as a secondary responsibility to worship ministry activities:  Youth Ministry, Adult Ministry, or Pastoral Care.

Status:  Full-time
Salary:  $45,000/year + benefits (adjusted for experience)
